Our grade 2 listed hotel offers quintessential English charm and beautiful original features; oak flooring, wood-panelled rooms and old brick fireplaces throughout, providing an opulent and comfortable atmosphere - the perfect setting for a dining break away from it all.

Within the main house there are 22 individually decorated bedrooms and suites inspired by traditional country house interior design; think sumptuous four-poster beds, cosy woollen throws and tranquil, natural tones. And of course, classic lead-lined windows overlooking our English country gardens.

Set away from the main house, discover the Hayloft and Courtyard Suites, also featuring classic country house design, these modern suites feature free-standing baths and walk-in drench showers; Nespresso coffee machines, and a complimentary decanter of seasonal gin.

But, it’s not just a beautiful bedroom that welcomes you to our country hotel, find comfort in the little touches and thoughtful details that make every stay extra special. Which is why every guest feels at home in their bedroom with freshly-brewed tea or coffee brought to you with our compliments, scented goodies from The White Company, and soft cotton bathrobes so you can truly relax and get cosy.

Did you know you can bring your four-legged friends with you too? Feel at home in one of our pet-friendly rooms including the Hayloft Suite, Courtyard Retreat, Courtyard Suite and selected Snug rooms. A dog bed is supplied to ensure they also have a safe space and comfy night’s sleep, and they’re welcome throughout the hotel except in The Terrace Restaurant, but we do ask that they’re kept on a lead at all times. 

When you do need to leave the comfort of your bedroom, foodies looking for the ultimate dining break in Hampshire needn’t look any further. The Taste the Season break brings everything together beautifully, offering characterful overnight accommodation, a delicious continental breakfast and the choice between our two hotel restaurants for dinner. The Terrace and Monty’s Inn; both embrace the importance of locally grown, seasonal produce for flavour and sustainability.

The Terrace restaurant menu is guided by the seasons, offering modern British cuisine created from the very best seasonal, regional, and local produce. Our Executive Chef, Alistair Craig, masterfully handpicks each ingredient and artfully designs each dish to deliver unforgettable flavours, textures, and aromas with every bite. Elevate your dining experience with wine pairing; our in-house Sommelier will select wines that pair beautifully with every dish. From the venison, sourced from the nearby Beaulieu Estate across the river to the hand-picked New Forest mushrooms. Local ingredients are always the first choice or grown in-house in our very own kitchen garden.

Monty’s Inn is our cosy wood-panelled New Forest pub inviting you to get comfy and enjoy hearty, seasonal dishes, and fine local brews in front of the fire.
