If you are seeking a country escape to the New Forest, Hampshire, our hotel is conveniently located in the heart of the national park, and with a range of suites and bedrooms available, there is something for everyone’s taste – to make this your home away from home.

What are the rooms like at the Montagu Arms?

There are 22 sumptuous bedrooms and suites in total in the main house, which combine comfort with sophistication to create a homely space that makes it easy to kick off your shoes, relax and unwind. Some rooms boast glamorous four-poster beds, while others have more traditional wood panelling and large lead-lined windows overlooking our beautiful gardens.

Outside of the main country manor house you’ll find our 2 Hayloft suites and 9 Courtyard rooms centred around our tranquil courtyard garden. These more modern rooms feature luxurious interior design, inspired by the British countryside, to give the true experience of the New Forest during your stay. With free-standing baths, walk-in drench showers and Nespresso coffee machines, these rooms and suites are ideal for romantic getaways and indulgent breaks. You’ll even find a complimentary decanter of seasonal gin in your suite, for a well-deserved nightcap.

Courtyard Suite

The Montagu Arms’ Courtyard Suite is nestled within the grounds of the Hampshire hotel and has been carefully curated to blend timeless elegance with contemporary style. Featuring a king size four-poster bed, separate lounge area and garden views, this large suite is respectful of the original 1920s building, retaining the original oak beams and character. The large marble bathroom, double shower and vanity unit offer plenty of space for sprucing up before you start your day exploring the New Forest.

Hayloft Barn Suite

There are just two of these luxury duplex suites on site. The original building was an 1820s barn which has been sensitively converted into the beautiful Hayloft Barn Suites that pay homage to the British countryside our Hampshire hotel is located in. Impressive features include free-standing baths and a private terrace with sweeping views of our lovely gardens and croquet lawn. Air conditioning is also installed to make the warmer months more comfortable for your weekend away, and underfloor heating for short breaks in the colder climates.
