How did he propose?
Simon proposed in the New Forest, we spent the day there just the two of us and we went for a walk after lunch which was when he did it.
Why did you choose The Montagu Arms Hotel for your wedding?
We love the New Forest, we have spent lots of time there and have many wonderful memories. We wanted to get married somewhere where the whole day could be in one place and people could stay there too. We wanted an intimate wedding venue and we wanted our evening reception to have a relaxed country pub feel So Monty's Inn was perfect!
Tell us about your outfits?
I wore a lace Justin Alexander dress in ivory. Quite fitted with a fish tail. Simon wore top hat and tails.
Tell us who your Bridesmaids were? And what they wore?
We had two bridesmaids, my best friend and my sister. They wore moss green fitted vintage style dresses that we had made.
Tell us about the ceremony...
We had an intimate ceremony with 55 people, it was family and close friends. It was relaxed with readings from both of our sisters. It wasn't too long either as we had children there that we didn't want to get restless.
Tell us about your reception?
We had our evening reception in Monty's Inn which was great. We had a DJ, a buffet and everyone danced all night! It was really relaxed and everyone had a really great time.
What flowers did you choose?
We had pinks and greens in the flowers. We wanted a country garden feel and nothing too polished.
Tell us about the décor you chose?
We had a loose country garden feel and incorporated lots of flowers, pinks and greens. We had a bit of a vintage feel and also quite traditional.
How do you feel the day went?
Perfectly! We had the best day ever, and we know our guests did too. Everything ran really well and everyone was so relaxed.
Any particular memories from your Wedding Story that stand out that you would like to share?
The wedding breakfast was amazing and everyone still talks about the sausage rolls in the evening buffet!
