What to do in Beaulieu and The New Forest This Summer

14th Jul 2022

When planning your weekend break in the New Forest, you are truly spoilt for choice; do you venture into the forest for long walks and cycle rides, explore motoring history, spend a day beside the seaside or simply relax with an indulgent afternoon tea and your favourite novel?

To help you answer this very difficult dilemma we have put together some of our favourite events happening in and around Beaulieu this summer -

our The Famous Exbury Gardens in Beaulieu Hampshire1

Exbury Gardens

Just 3.5 miles from our quaint hotel in Beaulieu is a haven for the green-fingered and a place of inspiration for any artist –  peruse local artworks, visit the steam railway or spend time picnicking in the glorious gardens. Exbury Gardens is a must-visit when you come to spend time in the New Forest.

Steam Railway

Experience the sights and sounds of a working narrow-gauge steam railway. Witness the turntable in action and marvel at the attention to detail on the replica train station before boarding the train. New safety measures are in place to ensure that the steam railway operates as safely as it can.

The Festival of Music - 19th & 20th August

Featuring some of the UK's best tribute acts, Exbury Gardens will be hosting two nights of live music to the backdrop of their beautiful gardens. 21st Century Queen and Elton John perform on the first evening followed by 21st Century ABBA on the second evening. A wonderful way to enjoy a summers evening!
