Spring Cocktail Recipes For World Cocktail Day

With the sunshine gracing us all weekend, it finally feels like spring has arrived and summer is just around the corner. If, like us, your tastes are reflecting the change of the seasons and you're looking for refreshing, light options for your food and drinks, why not give our delicious spring cocktails a try.

With fresh ingredients, including herbs and fruits picked from our very own kitchen garden, our spring cocktails are sure to brighten up your day. 

 

Available at the library bar in the Montagu Arms hotel, this new spring cocktail menu has been thoughtfully put together to celebrate the best of seasonal British ingredients. Come and enjoy a tipple in the garden on your next visit to the New Forest national park.

 

Spring Cocktails 2024 - 1

 

Violet Bubbles

Ingredients:

  • 25ml violet liqueur
  • 10ml sugar syrup
  • Squeeze lemon juice
  • Sparkling wine to top
  • Lemon peel 

 

Method:

Add the violet liqueur, sugar syrup and lemon juice to a cocktail shaker with ice and shake. Pour into a flute and top up with sparkling wine. Add lemon peel to garnish.

Mango & Passionfruit Daiquiri

Ingredients:

  • 50ml Golden rum 
  • 25ml passionfruit syrup
  • 3 tablespoons mango purée
  • 1/2 lime - save lime wheel to garnish

Method:

Pour all the ingredients into a blender, add a scoop of ice and blend. Pour into a coupette glass, add lime wheel to garnish and serve. 

 

Spring Cocktails 2024 - Set 2

 

Peach Iced Tea

Ingredients:

  • 25ml Caorunn Gin
  • 25ml Peche Du Verger
  • 25ml peach juice
  • 50ml strong English breakfast tea
  • 1/2 lemon
  • Dash of elderflower cordial
  • Lemon wheel (to garnish)

Method:

Pour all ingredients into an ice filled shaker. Shake well and pour into a tall tumbler glass. Top up with ice and serve with lemon wheel to garnish.

Hampshire Heatwave

Ingredients:

  • 25ml chilli vodka
  • 25ml lapsang syrup
  • 70ml pineapple juice
  • Small chilli (to garnish)

Method:

Pour all ingredients into an ice filled shaker. Shake well and pour into an Old Fashioned glass. Add small chilli to garnish and serve.
