New Salted Caramel and Malt Dessert

The Terrace is pleased to introduce a new dessert created by Head Chef Matthew Whitfield, a salted caramel and Malt fondant with Dark Destroyer Beer Ice Cream

 

Created for his dad, this dessert uses malt and beer that he makes and sells at his brewery in Southampton, CrackleRock. Every dish that Matthew creates means something to him, each meal is a snapshot moment of his life. There is no better way for Matthew to show his dad his love for him, than creating something especially for him and using his father's own products.

 

“All my dishes mean something to me, and everything I put on the plate has a purpose”.

 

Matching the flavours of the beer ice cream, Matthew has created a dessert which is a treat for the taste buds. The Dark Destroyer beer is a rich, strong, dark, smooth, porter style ale. With a little caramel balanced with chocolate malt, this is a full bodied ale with and everlasting porter taste. Together with a salted caramel and malt fondant, these components complement each other perfectly.

 

Each of his innovative dishes capture the moments, memories and experiences of Matthew’s passionate career, not to mention that they are incredibly photogenic and Instagram-worthy. We certainly cannot wait to try this delicious sounding treat which is now on the menu.
