Once a year, we have the privilege of welcoming Willis Re Global Engineering Practice, a leading reinsurance advisor, to the Montagu Arms Hotel for their annual corporate event. The day out of the office allows discussions without normal working-day distractions and interruptions – something we all know too well. This June, delegates swapped the buzzing city life as they took to the road from London to embrace the fresh country air.

For the eleven delegates, the trip was a breeze due to the easily accessible New Forest location on the main road from London down south. When asked why Willis Re Global Engineering Practice chose the Montagu Arms as their preferred destination, positive past experience along with location and ambience made the list.

Willis Re Global Engineering Practice opted for the dinner, bed and breakfast package, a popular choice for many, along with a sailing trip with Hamble Point Yacht Charters on a Bavaria class yacht for a luxury day out at sea. Hamble Point Yacht Charters specialise in corporate events on the water and based near Southampton, just a short sail from the centre of the Solent (the main sailing area on the UK's South Coast) this is the perfect set off point for the day. The yacht itself is a marvel to see, giving the delegates an outstanding sailing performance with first class design and characteristics. An experience they are unlikely to forget.

For many of the delegates who attend, this trip is the highlight of their year as they enjoy winding down over ‘an excellent dinner and the relaxed atmosphere in the lounge’.  An exquisite feast prepared by award-winning Head Chef Matthew Tomkinson was available after their day out sea and with appetites high on the horizon, delegates got to choose from the following menu:
