An opportunity has arisen for a full-time Waiter/Waitress who will assist the Restaurant Manager in managing the day to day running of this busy restaurant and bar, alongside a small team of approximately 10 staff. Responsibilities include:

  • Preparing tables/taking orders/serving guests
  • Managing customer relations & bookings
  • Liaising with the kitchen and chefs
  • Health & safety and food hygiene
  • Maintaining quality standards

Our ideal candidate will have a previous waiter/waitress experience within a hotel/restaurant environment. We are seeking a committed team member with a passion to succeed, but who appreciates the importance of projecting a calm and efficient manner to guests and colleagues alike.  You will have a passion for food together with some wine knowledge and good computer literacy/administrative awareness.  A high standard of personal presentation and excellent customer service/communication skills are essential. We are looking for an enthusiastic Sommelier to help us deliver exceptional customer service for guests dining in our Michelin-starred Terrace Restaurant. Working closely with the Head Sommelier,  this role involves advising customers on their wine choices in a traditional service environment, updating the wine list daily, maintaining stock and up selling wines. We are looking for an enthusiastic Commis Chef to join our friendly team at The Montagu Arms Hotel.  Under the guidance of Monty’s Head Chef, this is a superb opportunity to work with the finest quality, seasonal ingredients which are free-range, organic and sourced as locally as possible.  Experience in a similar establishment or hotel would be beneficial but is not essential.
