Dining at The Michelin Starred Terrace Restaurant is what makes a stay at the Montagu Arms a truly memorable experience. The restaurant pays homage to both tradition and innovation, offering a variety of delectable dishes in a distinctively sophisticated Oak Paneled setting with views over our picturesque English Garden.

Head Chef Matthew Tomkinson who won the prestigious Roux Scholarship in 2005, and gained Michelin stars both at his last establishment and now here at the Montagu Arms, uses only the finest quality seasonal ingredients which are, as far as possible, local, free-range and organic. The exemplary standard of award-winning cuisine and fine wines has been reflected by the accolades of having been voted “Hampshire Restaurant of the year 2007” by Which? Good Food Guide, and more recently the Telegraph’s Top 50 Summer Restaurants in Britain by Jasper Gerard.

The Terrace restaurant is well known for its extensive wine list including organic, un-oaked and prestigious wines and champagnes, and our wine experts are on hand to help suggest the perfect choice to complement your meal. The Terrace Restaurant has a smart dress code and politely request no denim or trainers are worn in the evening.
