Training with Welcome Host Gold is provided to all staff as part of their induction training. The training procedures include how to exceed expectations, be a great team player and above all, training in outstanding guest care.

Case Study | Jeremy Whitworth

As a graduate from the Brockenhurst College Level 3 Supervisor and Management Apprenticeship, Jeremy is a shining example of how an apprenticeship can help you to grow and succeed within the hospitality industry. He now holds the title of Assistant Hotel Manager here at the Montagu Arms after completing 6 years at our sister property Careys Manor Hotel.

Springboard Charity

We are active supporters of the Springboard charity which supports disadvantaged and underprivileged people by helping them back into employment within leisure, hospitality and tourism.

In 2013, a team of 12 members of staff from The Montagu Arms and our sister properties, Careys Manor hotel and SenSpa and The Imperial Hotel, cycled from London to Paris and raised over £7000 for the charity. We continue to raise money for Springboard by donating £1 from selected dishes on the menus at The Terrace Restaurant and Cambium.
